Actual time and needs vary by member and by matter, and the scope and available discount are set out in the membership agreement.

What membership does not include

Membership is a counsel relationship, not a substitute for representation on a specific matter. The following are engaged separately under a written agreement, at the member rate of $310 per hour or under a contingency or flat fee arrangement where appropriate.

  • Litigation, court appearances, and filings.
  • Drafting of new agreements, entity formation, and transactional representation.
  • Government relations and Maryland lobbying representation.
  • Criminal defense representation.
  • Emergency or same day response. The one business day commitment does not apply to filing deadlines, hearings, or time sensitive matters.

A conflicts check is run before the Firm accepts any new matter, including matters brought by existing members.

How membership works

  1. 1

    Apply

Complete a short form. No payment information is collected at this stage.

  2. 2

    Conflicts check

The Firm confirms that it is able to represent you. Membership is not offered until this clears.

  3. 3

    Sign

Review and sign the membership agreement electronically. This takes about five minutes.

  4. 4

    Begin

Membership activates on signature. The first payment is charged at the close of the first month, after the month of access has been provided.

Who this is for

Business owners and individuals who want a real relationship with their attorney, someone who already knows them and their situation, before a legal question becomes a legal problem.

Apply for membership

Membership includes the services described above and nothing further. Litigation, drafting, transactional, criminal defense, and government relations matters are engaged separately under a written agreement at preferred member rates. Membership fees are charged in arrears for the month of access provided and are earned when charged. Enrollment is subject to a conflicts of interest check, and a conflicts check is run again before the Firm accepts any new matter. No result in any matter is promised or implied.
